There’s no better way to experience the island of the sun than with a stay at the adult only (16yrs +) Cook's Club City Beach Rhodes. And despite its location in the heart of Rhodes Town, there’s only a small street standing between you and the sandy Elli Beach, where you can jump into its crystal clear waters from a five-metre-high diving tower - a must for daredevils.
Back at your base you’ll feel right at home thanks to the hotel’s relaxed vibe and boho interiors. As the smallest of the Cook’s Club hotels, guests can look forward to a more exclusive experience with just 18 rooms squeezing in two or three guests. All stays come with a mini fridge, kettle, tea/coffee facilities, hairdryer, slippers and bathroom featuring a shower, but if you want to splash out on something extra special, book a suite facing the Aegean.
Don’t fancy heading out for a bite to eat? You’ll have everything you need at the hotel’s Cantina, whose family-style tables are made for socialising with friends. If your food cravings set in early, make sure you get up in time for breakfast (8am to 11am), while late-risers are bound to find something they like on the all-day menu (12pm to 10pm). Indulge in Mediterranean favourites with a MENO È DI PÌU food concept, including Italian style pizzas and fresh pasta dishes alongside snack-size paninis.
This is also where you’ll find the hotel’s (seasonal) pool and rooftop bar. It’s a suntrap during the day, while evenings are best spent capturing a Rhodian sunset - with a cocktail in hand of course. And the cocktail menu is far from standard! Drinks here are mixed by expert bartenders using premium spirits and hand-picked herbs.
Away from the hotel, you’re close to some of Greece’s most impressive sights. You'll find history hiding in just about every alleyway in the Old Town, like the must-visit Palace of the Grand Master of the Knights of Rhodes, dating back to the 14th century. There are plenty of traditional tavernas too, where you can order feta-stuffed Greek salads or melt-in-the-mouth beef stew, known locally as stifado. As for nightlife, you’ve got the trendy beachfront Ronda Bar right on your doorstep, but if you don’t mind venturing a little further to Bar Street (or Orfanidi Street) you’ll find plenty of lively drinking spots ranging from late-night discos to full-on clubs.
